"You don't even bake cookies at that temperature" had me laughing! Thank you so much for the explanation. Even though I don't use heat on my hair often, maybe once every few months or so, I was in the market to find something that would work well with my fine 4c hair. I now know I shouldn't even look at titanium. Hope you're doing well. 🥰

Omg! Someone finally explained the difference between flat irons. I've had a titanium iron and, yes, it burned my hair more times than I can count. I've also had ceramic, which took longer to get my hair straight. Now I understand why and the options that are on the market. Thank you for your thorough explanation.

Love the simplicity of the irons tutorial. Yeah, you should teach. It's your gift. Won't get confused anymore on flat iron types ever again

You are a mess, so hilarious. 😂 I literally bought a flat iron earlier this week and was hoping that I bought the right kind... Happy to find out that I did: Ceramic (well tourmaline infused ceramic) because my hair is high in density but the strands are fine, and ain't nobody tryna to burn off/destroy these lovely locks lol. Thanks!

Very helpful! Thank you. I was just about to purchase a titanium iron but not anymore. Im African American female with thick hair but fine strands. I will be buying another ceramic iron. Not what I want, but it sounds like what I need. Thank you for saving me a whirl wind of devastation.

Thank you for explaining the difference between fine and coarse to the people. Some people don’t know the difference between curl pattern, texture, and density.

You are LITERALLY the only person I would take advice from about flat irons. I've never used one but it could be nice for a change up in the cooler months. Thank you so much for the tutorial 🙏🏽💯

Hello there, thank you so much for explaining about the Flatiron. I am a cosmetologist, but when I quit in 1990 because of health issues, I never learned anything about flat irons, so thank you so much for explaining about it😊
Continue to enjoy the Blessings of the Lord ❤️

Honeyyyy when I tell you, I ran out to purchase a ceramic/tourmaline flatiron.

I tested the regular ceramic against the ceramic/tourmaline
I set both at 375

I parted two even sections on the same side of my head

The ceramic poofed within seconds and the tourmaline fought the humidity. The real test will be after I start to sweat in my head

Ill use the tourmaline one for the bulk of my hair.
Ill use the ceramic on the nape and edges where my hair is finer and crank up the heat to 410.

I cant thank you enough.

Very INFORMATIVE as usual! Currently I am on a heat free journey for the summer on my relaxed hair. I will be purchasing a new flat iron soon. You have armed me with the knowledge needed to choose the right one for my hair type!! May God continue to bless you and give you GRACE!!

The forest analogy made the light come on in my head. Great explanation.

This makes a lot of sense. A few years ago I wanted to flat iron my hair and I think my sub sections were too big. The straightness didn’t last long at all. Also, using tourmaline is better. Thanks Linwood!
