USS Essex Enters Dry Dock 2022

SAN DIEGO (Sept. 27, 2022) U.S. Navy Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) transits from Naval Base San Diego to dry dock, Sept. 27, 2022. Essex is in a scheduled docking selected restricted availability (DSRA) conducting a maintenance period to upgrade and refurbish many key systems aboard. Damn i guess the navy CAN pay overtime to tugs for a night time move, my ship always ended up doing circles or anchoring out if we got back to san Diego in the afternoon or after dark.

People cry about JP5 in their water… it was always in the water on my ship.
