Grew up watching Oscar, he fought everyone. The sport needs more fighters like him today.

The first word that entered my mind when I heard the Victorian-esque song that was chosen for Oscar was "royalty." Because he was. Oscar was both boxing and international royalty. A phenom who was naturally left handed but trained orthodox because his jab would strike with the force of a power punch, Oscar was one of the fastest, most technical and cerebral fighters of his era. He was also a recording artist, earning awards for his musical talent and was always a great ambassador for boxing as an Olympic champion. He had his problems later on in life, but in his prime Oscar De La Hoya, aka "The Golden Boy, " was a straight up MONSTER. Props for showcasing the training of this legendary champion. Often times I feel like the public clowns Oscar too much and forgets his legacy and greatness.

Oscar's stance is something that really interested me, the way he used his long arms to deflect punches and beat fighters with his reach was something to behold.

As much as I don’t like him as a promoter, I loved him as a fighter. Nothing but respect for him and his legacy despite his troubles late in his career

I always had more respect for Oscar than anyone else because he fought everybody. One of the best left hands in the game.
