Is the Nord Star 42+ the best boat that Nord Star has ever built?

In this in-depth sea trial, tour and review of the Nord Star 42+ we’re going to find out. The 42 is available with sterndrives or IPS and it can be specified with or without the flybridge.

In the Cruiser variant, there is a more leisure-focused layout with access to a smart twin guest with a separate bathroom amidships. Forward, there is an owner’s cabin with a split toilet and and shower room.

The 42 is a very safe and easy boat to move around and lends itself to solo crewing. There is lots of deck stowage, plentiful grab rails and a pair of side doors that make moving from the interior deck as smooth as possible.

The driving experience and its excellent hull are a big part of the 42’s draw. It makes light work of heavy seas but also has the performance and handling to outrun sportscruisers of a similar size.

Lovely boat. Really like the bit about high cost extras, you can see how expensive these additions are. Very useful. As an American I am astonished that this is thought of as a fishing boat. You can get a 42 - 44 foot Viking. Of course you don't see pricing online.

19:31 optioning must make boat dealers some good extra wedge. The real gear-grinder is the 5-figure joystick control. This type of system can't be a million miles different to that that is packaged in £300 drones. The machinery might be a lot more industrial but the controlling principles have to be pretty similar.

Love these type of boat, even tho I’m a huge Princess fan, these boats are awesome in many ways! Looks cool feels sporty to drive yet they are big and robust, and fast like a little sportsboat if you put targa sargo together I think nord start looks the best.

For a small big boat she quiet, a weekender, day trip or a couple of weeks cruising. She look from the video nimble, responsive to helm. Coping with all conditions of wind and sea conditions. The cabin is light and airy due to all the windows practical well planned seating galley and helm areas. Both cabins have access to their own bathrooms comfortable. She's a great boat like her.
