As Canadian travellers, we have spent the last month learning from Moroccans what it is like to travel with a non-Canadian passport. It has been so eye-opening and what a reminder of the amazing privilege we have just by being born in North America. And then to watch this 😭. As an Irish citizen, I never understood the privilege of booking a flight, arriving in a country, and they are friendly and wave me through no questions asked. I then worked with multiple nationalities in Singapore and they explained how difficult it was to travel. I couldn’t believe it. Congrats on your new passport, many happy years of travel ahead 😀

Seeing Ammar arrive in paris and cry after the short time it took for him to get his passport stamped made me cry with him. I guess it’s due to watching ammars journey for so long and seeing just a slice of the pain and sacrifice he had to go through in order to achieve his goal. I travel loads on my British passport and I've never once given a single thought to how easy it is for me to go through borders, other than to get annoyed at having to wait for an hour. Learning how difficult and dehumanizing the visa process is for him, then watching him just go through a border without an issue like I do, and breaking down because of it? Really hit me hard. Congratulations Ammar. I wish you nothing but mild inconvenience at the border from this day forward :).

As an Afghan Passport holder I can feel the pain of getting visa for literally every country and getting nervous at every immigration center. it's so annoying having the world's weakest passport as your only passport.

I sit here now as an English citizen, living in Mexico, watching with a tear in my eye. I never truly realised how lucky I was to be born in a country where we take complete freedom for granted. I have a French - European passport and an Australian - Commonwealth passport, i did't know how much freedom it granted me or how much I was ignorant about the troubles of great people trying to change the world was .
