Switch is basically Skyrim Special Edition but at 900p and without volumetric lights. It's a pretty solid port.

I'm just happy that the Switch is the Special Edition. I was worried it was going to be the original version. Switch is a pretty impressive little machine.

The Switch port was phenomenal. I stopped playing on PC and XB1 because it was so well optimized. I played half and half in docked and TV mode, after playing on ultra PC, I was still floored by how well this version holds up. Btw, I put in over 150 hours for the Switch version alone after investing over 1000 hours on the other platforms. This port is timeless

so the switch is the enhanced version just dialed back some. still another great port if you ask me. good job Bethesda. this is big because this is the first time a elder scrolls title has hit a nintendo console. great news all around.

I remember when I played Skyrim the first time on ps3. Then I switched to the pc version and it was a whole new world. At that moment I realised. Graphics DO matter.

The switch’s shader tends to make colours feel warmer, but darkens shadows. Actually playing it there are times when the switch makes things just a bit to dark both docked and portable. I like that this port has its own distinctive feel compared to the time I spent with Special Edition on the PC.

Uncapped frame rate on PC is a night and day compared to the console's ~30fps, the switch port is quite sold all things considered ofc.

Honestly, I can live with this. I've played the game on Playstation 3, max settings on PC, and I'm very seriously considering picking it up for Switch. I've found a new love for console gaming in the Switch and it's a lot easier on my bad knee than sitting at my computer desk, and more convenient to navigate that menu with a controller alone instead of swapping between a controller and mouse/keyboard when I need to do other PC related tasks.

The switch version has the best lighting i know not from a technical point but the ps4 and xbox one version overdo it and the picture looks washed out and weird. The switch version gives me this nice cold nordic vibe.

I love the Switch version, but in my opinion it's really a shame that Bethesda didn't decide to release a Wii U version. Using the gamepad as a secondary display would have been a definite boon, and controls would have surpassed all versions, including the PC.
