While people do change as they get older, and there have been people who are sorry for their crimes (even serial killers), considering the fact that he called his victims and taunted them and never turned himself in, he's obviously not sorry for his actions. Not to mention him trying to make everyone think he's a feeble old man to get away with his heinous crimes. I know I really don't need to make this comment, since everyone knows that he's not actually sorry. Even serial killers who are sorry for their crimes; it takes a greater person than exists to forgive that.
