I was also able to help him replace the YouTube app my friend didn’t know about with the one we were all familiar with on all of our devices.

Thanks, finally it works for my Fire HD 8 2022 after some fail (I chose the wrong versions so I had to uninstall 4 apps several times). So you need to select the version suggested in the geek site.

Thanks so much, I followed this step by step, without these instructions I would have never been able to do this !, it took me about 30 mins because it kept displaying errors, I now have Google play and it works ! Why do Amazon make it so difficult, I wish I has stuck with Apple.

I have Fire HD 10 (7th gen) I try installing an app on play store, and it asks me for Permissions that the app wants, and I accept them, but it's stuck on pending download, I try everything to get it to, like clearing the cache and data, and resetting the tablet but nothing works. My Internet is really good, my network settings are correct and all my apps are updated, and still nothing. Is there a fix to this?

Not "almost any". Just older versions - 2018 and earlier. I just got a 2023 tablet and FTB instructions said not to register it to your Amazon account, but if you don't, you can't get INTO settings at all to enable developer options or connect the tablet to your PC for file transfer...so, this didn't help.

Ok, but after a week or so the tablet is going so slow and other problems crop up practically each day. May be both system clash with each other.
Is a shame, because I have downloaded all my favs aps that are missing from Amazon store.
Just checked on the web how many people have had this problem.
One of them said" the difference is just like Night an Day.
I couldn't bare how every thing slowed down.
So I reset the tablet to the original Amazon settings.

Hi. I followed your video and all worked well but when I try to install vending one its showing me WPS office determining the type of document and then some app opens with Chinese writing. Do you know what I can do please?

Parsing Error FIX:

It is the version of Google Play (GP) you are trying to install.

Go to an earlier "date" of the current apk version.

I tested (as of 2024):
Apr 1st -error
March 29 -error
March 28 -success
March 25- success

I DID NOT TEST PAST MARCH 25, 2024

Note:
-Initially I did factory resets (FR) for April 1, then decided no more FR after attempt 7
-I did NOT delete the 3 other service links
-I restarted after deleting defective GP apk (not reinstalling the previous 3 services)
-March 28th worked after 3rd "older" (legacy) mirror link... on the first try.
-I did NOT need to restart, login page of GP prompted after GP install from Download (DL) folder.

A+++ Thank you great step by step tutorial. The screens are bit different from website where you need to download the programs and totally understandable as sites change since the video was originally recorded. But overall successfully installed G-Play Store. Thanks so much!!!
