Tbh, I think the reason why the opening of the new republic shoes are "wider" on people is because they buy the wrong size. The shoes run half a size big and I don't think people take that into consideration. Most of the videos/ pics. I saw with people wearing the boots.. the boots looked big on them. I personally own a lot of new republic Chelsea boots and I personally do not have that problem. Nice review though, bro. Keep it up.
