Thank you so much. I have never heard of delirium until 2 weeks ago. My 78 yr old mother was admitted for open heart surgery. I knew something was wrong the moment she woke up from surgery. It has been a scary and frustrating process. No one really has answers for me. This clip is finally giving me the answers I need. Thank you again 😊

May I ask this question… My brother just turned 60 had a brain bleed stroke .. he had to have surgery to release the pressure of the blood bleed . He has lost more than 50 % of his body weight since he had this stroke and surgery.. he is often confused and sees things in his hospital room like a dog etc .. he often tells you he had someone come in room to try steal his stuff etc .. he doesn’t eat well and obviously his nutrition levels have been affected . He slurs in his speech at times, and often goes in and out of weird conversations . He struggles to concentrate on the subject you try discuss with him . And the next day he seems almost normal . This is temporary and the days are often good and bad .. no day is the same and sometimes he is normal . But other days he hallucinates and tells you stories of people wanting to steal his belongings in his room and sees strangers in his room and at times sees dogs or cats in his room . What would sum up his condition ? Would you say his medication is affecting this ? And diet intake ?
