Lowe's 'Peel & Stick' Carpet Tiles — 8 Month Review

Installed Foss Pebble Path 24" x 24" Sky Gray & Black Ice peel & stick carpet tiles from Lowe's in my home garage a little over 7.5 months ago. I get asked about this floor on a weekly basis, so I figured making a specific video would help folks out in the future.

If you're building a home gym in your garage, I would seriously consider looking into these carpet tiles. Normal rolled carpet requires you to apply adhesive to your floor. Then, if you mess up an area, you are kind of out of luck. These things you literally pull them out of the box, peel, and stick them to your floor. If you damage one, easy, replace it!

I think I might get this for my garage, looks so good. My current floor has peeling paint, it has to be come up it's driving me crazy. I'm not ready to pay a pro to install the high quality epoxy, i think I could work in sections as my budget allows with these stick ons

Great video and creative idea, too! I actually used high end carpet tiles throughout my former office building, with great success. I’m very interested, but have a question about vehicle traffic in and out of the garage. My garage is both a work and storage space, but also a place used to regularly park my daily driver vehicles. Do you have any experience, or thoughts about how the carpet tiles tolerate cars driving in and out, on at least a daily basis?

Looks like i was definitely not the only one bugging you about the tiles lol Glad to see the review and that the tiles are still working great!

I think it's important to note, PET uses antimony trioxide as a catalyst in the production process, which is shown to be an endocrine disrupter. Same chemicals found in plastic bottles. Back on topic! Can't wait for the next hardbody video!

Thanks for the review. I’ve been looking for something in my garage and possible the patio. This looks like a good affordable option

The control joint might appear that way because moisture may be coming up through it from under the slab . I'd never install this stuff in a garage where you do work or drive over it. Try steering your tires on this and watch it tear off the floor over time. Bare cement or Epoxy floors is the way to go in a garage like you had before. If you're worried about acoustics .. go buy some rockwool from Home Depot, cover it fabric and attach it to the walls. If you want comfort while working on the floor, buy an area rug or use some old carpet.

Thanks for the video! I was afraid that I would need to get the glue down option, not knowing how well these stick. This is perfect for my woodworking shop. I have a new concrete (very smooth) surface that should hold these well.

Thanks for this review. Seems like a much better garage floor product than I would have guessed. Also - sick truck! Very nice.

I am thinking of putting this in a rental. Durable and something that looks like I could do myself. Thoughts?

Great video. Was looking for something for a small room in the house. Didn’t really want carpet - want to keep the cost down. Considering what you use it for they seem fantastic.

Honestly even if you had a horrendous spill or hot slag burn holes you could swap out a square pretty easily and inexpensively. It's a way better deal than epoxy that always wears out due to hot tire pickup, and the cost increase 3+ fold for race deck.

Would love to have a tile like that here in the Philippines 😍

would you recommend it for carpeting in your home instead of using laminate or LVP flooring?
