Statics Problem 4-84: moment of a couple. A couple force is defined as two forces which have the same magnitude but opposite directions. A couple moment is a free vector that can act anywhere on or off the body. For a couple moment, only the distance between the two forces matter and it does not matter about which point we find a moment.
