How to Cancel or Change a Scheduled Ride in Lyft

If you've scheduled a ride in the Lyft app but either need to cancel it or change the time, this video will show you how.

But be sure to cancel BEFORE you're driver has been engaged to pick you up or you might be charged a cancellation fee.

so it would be nice if Lyft allowed us to modify the time. If I cancel my ride what is the guarantee that I can get another scheduled ride and driver? there is not a guarantee once I cancel

Thanks this was helpful! Although I do think it’s not right that Lyft does not send you a confirmation email or text. It also doesn’t tell you where to look for your scheduled rides. I feel like it’s done purposefully…..$$$

When you schedule a ride with Lyft, it quietly adds the Calendar icon that you point out in the video, with no other indication that the attempt was successful. And if one doesn't know about the Calendar icon, (s)he is in the dark whether the attempt was successful or not. After viewing your video, I noticed the Calendar icon and verify that my scheduling was indeed successful. I went through this drill the last time I scheduled a ride also :-)

Old video. You CAN change the time without cancelling and rescheduling. There is an edit feature when you tap the calendar allowing you to change your pickup time.

😢 I can't find a way to cancel my ride

I have not found Lyft App easy at all. This does not let you change the schedule time without cancelling. What kind of service is this? I have trying to speak to someone and after hours to find the number the customer service said they do not show my schedule pick up and I do have one. What a horrible nightmare this is!!!
