Buy a 90s japanese car for about 2-3k and get about 2k in parts, drive it for another 20 years and it will be reliable. That's good value. Good luck driving a Tesla for that much time without replacing a 20k battery

The only way I see that as even being slightly possible is if you bought jt under a business, writing off the initial purchase, subtracting it as a depreciating asset, have a corporate insurance policy and used the "businesses, " electricity to charge it

Teslas aren’t that bad to own. Mine had full battery replacement for free. It’s a 2019 so covered to 100k or 5yr. Aux battery went dead last week and I dreaded how much it would cost because only Tesla bam replace it Autozone laughed at me for asking if having one in stock.
20min later and 116$ Tesla replaced battery. Insurance through Tesla is 87$ month. Registration is 1200$x2yr. Bought used for 20k with 29, 000miles. Good deal but that’s all Tesla was offering as trade in to a friend so we took it at same price. It even Has 20k in upgrades so basically drive for free the next 5yr.
