Eric you have great knowledge of chess and are an incredible teacher, but what I admire most about you is your temperament. Never once in this series or in general do you lose your cool in the extremely stressful game that chess is, and you never act with anything but class towards your opponents. I strive to be more like that

Hey! beesone1 (the guy from the last game) here. Honestly, “CRUSHED” was a super surprising title to see in my feed. It was a scary game on his end, though, for sure.

In game 2, after black played Rxe4 (20:15 in the video), Eric said, "I could take with queen here ... taking with the knight looks a bit cleaner." He then took with the knight, but the truth is that it was A LOT cleaner. Qxe4 would have met Nf2, forking the rook and the queen. I was cringing when he first suggested taking with the queen. I fail to catch fork opportunities too often, but this was just too easy to spot.

I do agree with Eric at the end of that game that his opponents are resigning too early. I particularly thought so in game 1, where he resigned immediately after he blundered the rook. He didn't even wait to see if Eric missed that. He hadn't, but his opponent couldn't know. Hikaru blundered mate in 1 in a game against Magnus, and Magnus missed it. These things do happen.

Game 3: It looks like someone needs to call an ambulance, and this time, it is for Eric!

time for a new speedrun? i love watching between 1700-1900, below that they just blunder a queen and above that its just like watching you play normally

I was genuinely shocked how willing you were to tear open the fianchetto and with it the king's defenses there. It kinda makes sense that the engine wanted you to castle considering you ended up walking the king over there manually, regardless.
