Did not address disparities in accessing quality psych services. Nor medical misogyny: adhd designed around white middle class males. Women like me were told for years that we had depression, anxiety, and perhaps even bipolar. Funny how meds for them never changed anything (except for the side effects). It wasn't until middle age that I finally got a new gp doc who listened, diagnosed me and prescribed stimulants. And lo and behold what my life could have been. And now I get in line with everyone else into the manufactured medication shortage (thanks DEA). Still can't find a qualified therapist who takes my insurance and has openings, to help me unpack it all.
