My favorite since I was 14, am now 82. Went to 20 or so of his concerts. He should be honored at the Kennedy honoree program. He is a national treasure. There is no voice such as his, very distinctive. Bless the Lord for giving us Mr Mathis.

It was in 1955, I was in eighth grade I first heard Mr. Mathis on the radio. I have been n loved with him and his music since age thirteen.
I was blessed to hear him in person at a concert in Atlanta, and two occasions at NJPAC.
The next morning afterwards, I was on my way to New York. It was my wildest dream to meet him in person at Newark Train Station, Newark, New Jersey.
The city should have placed a plaque on bench, stating, Johnny Mathis sat here. I thank God for the encounter.
May He bless you with health, long life to enjoy your hard work. May we all learn to live together as Sister’s and brothers, offering a hand up and not criticizing what is and what is not. We are all human beings with a heart. ❤❤❤ I love you, Johnny to the moon and back.

His music has a special place in my heart as it was popular while I was growing up, got married & started a family. Today, he is still one of my favorite performers. I have been his fan since I was in my early teens. I’m 77 now and love him still. His personal choices in life do not bother me now and never did. His beautiful voice will be with me always. Not a day goes by that I do not listen to several of his songs. I love them all. I saw him in concert only once in Des Moines, Iowa. A evening I will never forget. He is just magical
