I'm always shocked when people who should know better say that robots are going to take are jobs and therefore there will be fewer jobs. The money that was saved by not hiring as meany people in that industry will not disappear, it will be reinvested in the business or spent in other industry that will create more jobs. It's not until we have perfect robotics and AGI that this will change. But even if we had perfect robotics and AGI tomorrow, it would still take time for the changes to roll out to all aspects of the economy. Energy and raw material, constraints and regulation will slow it down further.

It would reduce the migration of people to the west for jobs as professionals can now remotely do their jobs through these robots
