This video is a collection of our favorite moments in Greece, and also an attempt to show what our daily life in Chania was like while we were there!

5:59 - Old Town Chania
Living in Crete, Greece for 30 days was not part of our original plan when we left the United States months ago. After discovering what it had to offer and its affordability, we chose it as our next home for a month after Istanbul.
When you travel the world full time, your days aren’t spent like they would be on a 10 day vacation. We have work to get done in between our adventures, and luckily our place in Chania, Crete was a productive and convenient space. The Nespresso machine sure was a bonus.
We were tucked away in the hills of Chania, just a 25 minute walk (or short bus ride) to the old venetian harbor and a 10 minute walk to the artistic neighborhood of Chalepa. It was so amazing to be surrounded by trees and walk outside to the sounds of nature (and sometimes sheep!)
Excited by our big kitchen, we cooked so many homemade meals and felt like we were eating at a 5 star restaurant from the comfort of our Airbnb. The local markets were so affordable and the quality of the fruits and veggies was better than we had ever seen before. As mentioned in the video, our go-to meal was Mediterranean flatbreads! We also cheffed up lemon shrimp pasta a few times and even indulged in some genuinely delicious locally sourced chicken nuggets from the freezer aisle 😂. Another highlight of the food & drinks in Crete was certainly the cretan beer that we were constantly restocking our fridge with.
The beaches of Crete, the old venetian port and the neighborhood of Chalepa were undoubtedly our top three favorites of Crete. We will certainly be revisiting Crete, and exploring even more beautiful islands of Greece in the future.
There is one more big surprise that came from our time in Greece, but you will have to see what that is in our next video 🐈⬛ ;)
