Australia’s Efforts Supporting International Knowledge Sharing to Advance Industrial Decarbonisation

Australia is heavily invested in a collaborative approach to industrial decarbonisation, with a broad range of initiatives across the spectrum of Research, Development, Demonstration, and Deployment. At its core, Australia’s programs generate valuable knowledge to help accelerate the deployment of industrial decarbonisation solutions. This knowledge is generated with the intention to share, both internally to benefit the Australian economy, and with the global community through our international commitments, such as Mission Innovation.

On August 21st, 2024, the first Industry Insights webinar focused on "Australia’s coordinated efforts supporting international knowledge sharing to advance industrial decarbonisation", drawing participation from over 50 industry professionals and stakeholders. The key takeaway was the emphasis that no single country can tackle industrial decarbonisation alone and that knowledge sharing, and collaboration is necessary to not only reach national but global climate targets. By sharing knowledge internationally, Australia can significantly amplify its impact on global emission reductions.
