That legitimately looks like solid wood. You are the first i have seen pull it off. Every other attempt i have seen id very clearly painted and looks cartoonish.

There are reasons that entryway doors don't always have so much glass especially when the entryway does not include a security door. 😊

Oh that looks amazing! I saw this and literally ran to show my husband he’s a contractor/handyman and has customers all the time ask if there is a way to change their door without actually changing their door. New doors with sidelights can be over $2000 this is such a great alternative

I just saw this video and you did a fabulous job creating wood look and love the new inserts. I have almost the same door but it is grey & hate it!!! For those that like the green most likely stuck in the 90’s when house was built! This simple change updates your door and will help with resell value if selling later without breaking the bank!!!!🤯 definitely going to look into this but concerned b/c our door is not protected by a porch or entry coverage😞

As a safety engineer, I don't like any clear window that can be easily broken and entry is instant. Or, just look through the home while delivering a package.

I think putting on longer, hinge plates w longer screws and add, block security tab on the door hinges. That could help w kicks, that can open a door. Take the time for beauty and also, do safety

What a way to tell all the locals you’ve structurally compromised your front door. “ oh I’ve got a electronic lock”. doesn’t matter can just push the glass in. 😂😂😂

I seen on TV a guy was taking out a window similar to what you did . Before he started he taped the window up with masking tape all over . When he removed it it fall apart because it was taped . It worked really well.

There was a company that did this over 20 years ago. I had both my front and back into full view glass. The front had a side light so I had rain glass used there. They did the install too but they went out of business . Glad there's now a business that does something similar.

I like the new glass so much better. I have the same 80’s oval glass and it’s gotta go but my door is solid wood

She did a pretty good job with the stain, but depending on the material of your front door, the stain can stay tacky since it doesn’t have anything to absorb into.

Great idea. The the oval doors are nice but at least in my neighborhood about every 4 to 5 house has one. I have one of the oval ones. But it got kicked in sadly. Going to go with an all wood craftsman style glass, in the top 1/4 and a dental shelf most likely. And a triple lock system, much stronger than a regular two bolt system.
