Love this performance. Sam Kelly, the front man of The Parallels is the youngest son of Saint Etienne lead singer, Sarah Cracknell and East Village member and Heavenly Records label boss, Martin Kelly.

The keyboardist in the video is Sam's cousin, Donovan Kelly. Donovan's parents are East Village member and Martin's brother, Paul Kelly and Debsey Wykes, from an all-female band called Dolly Mixture. Paul and Debsey have been in a band called Birdie for the last 30 years.

My family and I are friends with Sarah, Martin, Sam, Paul, Debsey and Donovan. I'm very lucky to have them in my life. I've known Sam and Donovan since they were born.

Finally, a current jangle band in the spirit of The Drums, and 80s labels like early Creation (Jasmine Minks, Biff Bang Pow and early Primal Scream) or Sarah labels, how refreshing to hear this fresh take on the jangle sound... An anti power pop/rock vibe what relief! A refreshing change indeed...
