REVIEW: NEW Nash Titan T1 MK2... possibly the most refined bivvy on the carp fishing market?

Instantly recognisable from its unique silhouette, the Nash Titan series has been a fixture of carp fishing for more than a quarter of a century. Although the fundamental principles of its design remain, the Titan has undergone plenty of changes over that time, and the latest update is the Titan T1 MK2. CARPology's Luke Venus is one of the lucky ones who's spent a few nights under one and will be throughout 2021. Here's what he made of this carp fishing bankside legend!

Better sticking to forums for reviews never seen a single angler in the trade slag a product off, they are always the dogs bollocks,

Sick & tired of companies that keep so called improving there designs & charging you a small fortune to replace the bivvy you got less than 12 months ago. Spend a bit more time making sure the original bivvy is has good has can be in the first place. These little tweeks they make & then call it a mk2 is ridiculous, the bloody things are extortionate in the first place, surley you would expect a good few years out of it before they try & sell you an upgraded version for £800 that the water will run off better, absolute joke

I’ve had Titan bivvies for over 20 years and they’ve stood the test of time. I wouldn’t swap my T1 for the v2 for just a small change to the peak, though.

Possibly the the most refined bivvy on the carp fishing market....until the MK3 comes out in a fortnight's time.

I got the T1 camo, best bivvy in my opinion, can’t fault it 😎👍

be nice if you could open the rear vents, from the inside.

I've had 2 Mk1 Titan T1's they are awesome and sheltered me in some epic stormy weather. My only gripe was the fabric faded badly every time which led me to selling it. If they made the bivvy in the less breathable 410D material I'd get one again that stuff is bombproof.

Thanks for the review.
I appreciate you have a lot of products to review and the time it takes to complete these videos.
When reviewing products with this kind of value can you compare the specs of the bivvy I.e. weight, material, accessories (there weight) etc.
Just watching the video I could see areas of improvement where windows could be opened and closed from inside the bivvy so not to have to get out to get wet (if raining) as an example. Bivvy did not show features to hold pockets or inserts or areas to hang bivvy light. Bivvy did not detail its potential for condensation issues (fabric material its performance vs weight and cost) or how easy the ground sheet is to use I.e. does it clip or zip in? Does it have a mud flap like Fox frontier has? How easy is it to pack down into its carry bag? How does its price fair against other bivvy’s taking into account its price point and features vs it’s price point and features with all other accessories that may be required for all seasons. How you rate its overall value having reviewed it against its previous model and other competitors within the market.

Hope you can see the constructive side to these comments, it would certainly help the consumer understand why a bivvy may be worth the extra money or not!

Regards

Karl

My T1 was dreadful. Leaked after less than 18 months and the zip on the infill panel failed. I had only unzipped it twice in its life. I now have a tempest 150 and its been significantly better all round.

Sooo...all that's changed is the bent pole and clip, a problem kind of solved which shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Have they sorted out the inner capsule where you have to roll the door downwards into all the clart on the floor which also then becomes a trip hazard in the night...er no.
That's why I haven't got mine anymore.

Hed never used it before but when he put it up the rear vents were open, why cant nash ever get things right the first time theres always a mk2 of everything at an extortionate price

Would definitely be putting a ground sheet down where that’s set up 😂

Very good, just make sure you do another vlog on it in the summer.
Went through 3, T1 camo's until i got one i was happy with. When they are good they are the brilliant. I actually use my old V2 brolly groundsheet inside (after selling the brolly paper thin material) amazingly Nash have created a freakin tardis in a T1c soo much room and thicker material. That peak is to die for.

Had Nash for years along with trakker, both are brilliant but the prices are as outrageous as how much footballers get paid! Top tip for people wanting to buy this gear is to get good in second hand and save your har£ earnt pennies👍

I love the design of these bivys especially the peak If only it had a magnetic opening closing inner capsule and little rigid flaps to keep the vents partially open like trakker this would be the absolute ultimate bivy to blow the rest out of the water, I really want one
