Frantic activity as swarm leaves observation hive

A rather crude, but nonetheless fascinating short video of the frenzy of a swarm of honeybees as it prepares to leave an observation hive. Beekeepers often report bees running across the top of frames just before swarming -- in fact the frantic behaviour is everywhere in the hive. The tube is the exit to the outside world - there are foragers still returning as the swarm is leaving.
