I love how if you're trying to actually dance to a fast Chopin's waltz like this one you're guaranteed to have a cramp

I have been working on this piece for MONTHS and you still play it better than me in an hour! Your articulation is so clear and those repeated Ebs were so clean. I found it funny that you played the beginning Bbs as an octave, but still very impressive for just an hour on the piece! Definitely one of my favorites :) #ChopinValse

I love how Chopins waltzes can range from uplifting and dainty to outright depressing. Love chopin and love this challenge series :) #Chopinvalse

it's fun to watch professional pianists learning pieces, it helps a lot to beginners like us in actually analysing the piece and sharpen the techniques more. Fingering always helps thanks to Annique only i started following correct fingerings. Hoping to see more. ^^

Chopin is my favorite composer and seeing/hearing young people playing his work is....music can't get any better than that. huge fan of this young lady and keep carrying his music on.

To anyone struggling to learn Chopin's pieces, just keep at it! You will get there if you want it and keep putting in the effort. Maybe not in one hour, but you'll get there. My first Chopin piece took three months, the second took a few weeks.

Selection is key. I should have played the E minor Prelude before the Minute Waltz but I wanted the Minute Waltz, so it took months instead of weeks.

I'm playing some exercises to prepare for Etude Op. 10 number 1 and one day I want to play the Ab Polonaise, but in the meantime I'm working on this Waltz and it's going well.

Playing Chopin's music is world changing. My left finger 5 is now a beast of a bass player. My left hand is much more solid overall and I can finally play decent trills.

If you're a pianist and an appreciator of Chopin's music, I highly encourage you to power through! If the suggested fingerings don't work for you, find ones that do. Watch performances, master classes and tutorials. Ask other pianists for input.

This is 100% true now. I'm literally sitting at my Piano practicing the exact same piece. I see the title of this video and I'm like "NO FUCKING WAY" 😂😭

It is such a relief to see you struggle with this one. My mom was a very good sight reader and that's always been my benchmark, but I am so glad to know that it is no shame to not have all the notes right straight away. #Chopinvalse I love this bright and happy waltz, and played it somewhat but never studied it properly. Chopin has this combination of catchy tunes with interesting harmonies and clear moods, and watching this channel has made me play his work again.

I love Chopin's waltz so much. I started learning the Minute waltz today, and it's so joyful and fun, and not too complicated to play, it's amazing (:
Great performance btw ! I love your channel, keep up the great work

#chopinwaltz What I love about Chopin, especially in waltzes like this, is the spirit conveyed through them. This waltz is very light, cheerful and has a happy, dancing tone throughout. It almost reminds me of the Minute Waltz, where Chopin was inspired by a little dog prancing around. I love to play this waltz frequently as it is also very nostalgic, in the sense that I used to listen to it when I was small. It goes from a very light beginning, to a more slow, melodious middle section, to a small melancholic minor staccato/acciacatura part, then a repeat, then back to the original theme, and in the end, a grand finale to finish it all. I just wish that Chopin had composed many more happy, joyful pieces like this. You also did a great job trying to capture the lively character of this piece, Annique! Hope to see more.

I learned a few of the easier ones, Op. 69 No. 2, Op. 70 No. 2, and the minute waltz. It took me months and I never got close to playing any of them error-free. What you achieved in an hour is awesome.

It's like almost impossible to detach this from Tom&Jerry in my mind... xD

i started piano this year but absolutely love it. i have an awesome teacher and just love to practice and play. i havent played a lot of Chopin, i have only played 2 preludes (op.28 no 4 and no 7) and cant say anything about his waltzes yet except from that they sounds awesome. i would love to play more of his music and i get better. i am currently playing a piece which is the first classical piece i actually listened to knowing that it is classical music and a piece that is still one of my favorites: Arabesque no 1 from Debussy.
awesome video btw, always so much fun to watch your 1min 10min 1hour challenges!

One of my favorite Chopin pieces!

Annique, I really like the nautical decor you have on the window seat behind you. I love anything to do with the ocean… ships, lighthouses, pirates, sea life, etc.

#Chopinvalse I just love Chopins waltzes, they are just so beautiful, some cheerful, some very emotional, sometimes I love dancing to Chopin waltzes because you can not only feel the music, but also release it, like hows it going through you, sharing this music with others, and filling your heart with his music. This is the case of this waltz, imma say: its hard to dance to it, but you can, it not impossible! Awesome just amazing. Masterpiece!

I love Chopin’s waltz’s because they are always so lively and I always see them as something that could be used in ballet dancing or a fancy ball
