I hate when girls call themselves tom boys for being the outdoors type! As if those activities are only meant for guys. I grew up in the mountains doing most of that as well. That doesn't make me a tomboy, it makes me a girl that enjoys the outdoors. Yet I did and still enjoy ballet, dancing and cheerleading. You don't have to be 1 or the other. This way of thinking gets me upset.
