I am first generation born in the US and I am grateful that I was raised by European parents. We grew up drinking tea and dunking your cookie/biscuit in the tea is not weird at all to me. I agree that most Americans are missing out on a lot of great culinary experiences because they have never been exposed to them. Everyone should always keep an open mind and try new things.
