The sound of that Hi-Hat is simply incredible in this video.

For those of you who got to play it...does it really sound anywhere as defined as in the video?

it sounds nothing like this in real life, honestly. still an amazing pair of hats. they are much quieter than typical hats, and they play like melted butter. if you craze stick definition, these are your hats

I own a pair, not these ones but these sound comparable to mine. Mine are a little mushy, the top is like paper thin. Mine are very unique sounding also. In all the videos I have heard of these hats none sound quite like mine. That is part of the magic of them though. I normally play a new beat top with the sand hat bottom. New beat top is just a little heavier so I can get a little more stick definition. I like the sand hat top for a different sound though. I would recommend them to anyone if they are looking for a new sound, but just be aware the top could be very thin

Do you think they would fit in hard rock situations? I'm searching for a versatile hi hat and i love that dry but smooth sound

Is the top and bottom both sandblasted? Is it sandblasted on both side of the cymbal?
