Wow thanks Bro!!!. Kudos!! I am still very unhappy with the amount one has to render for the entire amount. I quickly checked a 2015 Acura and found a TLX 6V with Technology package with an overall duties cost of Ghs 133, 443.37, which is $9, 299.18 (USD). This is insane because one might be able to get a fairly used one for about $20, 000 with a good mileage of 40, 000 miles. Paying duties on a vehicle's manufacturer's released year (date) value is just something that needs to be mended. A current value of the vehicle should be fair. The original MSRP value and the current purchased/purchasing values are not the same because there are just too many changed variables in the vehicle at this point. It may be a better choice purchasing a brand new vehicle in Ghana than going this route. I am not sure if there are any standardization in those assembled vehicles in Ghana but at least you may enjoy it with a lesser headache than shipping. Mind you that shipping and handling from the origin to the destination is not even part of the final cost at the port. You buy a vehicle for $20, 000 and pay half as much to own it in Ghana. This is laughable. Please help me understand if my statement is incorrect because this seems painful.
