Swearing-In Ceremony of Mayor Kim Janey

Mayor Kim Janey is sworn in as the 55th Mayor of the City of Boston at Boston City Hall. Mayor Janey, making history as the first Black and first woman Mayor of Boston, is joined by her loved ones for the historic ceremony. Chief Justice Kimberly Budd, the first Black woman to lead the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court administers the oath of office. Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, the first woman of color to serve on the Boston City Council, presides over the ceremony. Reverend Willie Bodrick, II, Senior Pastor at the Twelfth Baptist Church, delivers the invocation.
