BEST keyword research tool feature NOBODY uses

There is a new keyword research tool feature from Ahrefs; it’s a new feature, so hardly anyone uses it or knows about it.

Now imagine staring at 3.6 million keywords and trying to decide the right ones to choose and target.

In a couple of clicks, I’ve narrowed 3.6 million keywords to 176 topics I can realistically rank for.

In other words, this filter helps you quickly spot low competition, realistic ranking keywords in seconds.

And here’s how you can do it.

Step 1: Enter your seed keywords into Keywords Explorer.

Step 2: Apply a filter to your seed keywords eg: DR 10 in the top 5 positions.

Outcome: This gives you a list of hundreds of keywords where sites like yours are ranking in the top 5.

Step 3: Choose the question filter and other filters.

Step 4: Then export and into google sheets, and you have a ready-made content plan.

So what is DR?

Domain Rating (DR) shows the strength of a website's backlink profile compared to the others in our database on a 100-point scale.

So, Facebook is a DR 100, Google is a DR 98
I’m a DR 52
A brand new site is DR 0

If you find websites with a similar DR score as yours ranking on page 1, you can target those keywords and possibly rank on page one.

This is ideal for brand-new sites with little or no authority

My client has DR 14, so let’s filter his seed keywords with the lowest DR of 14.
