France didn't invade Poland; in 1806-7, after defeating Prussia and Russia on land that is now Poland but at the time was occupied by Prussia and Russia, Napoleon liberated a large part of Poland and made them semi-independent though basically a client state of France. This client state - the Duchy of Warsaw - remained a willing and enthusiastic ally of France's until they were reconquered by Russia in 1812-13 after the failed invasion of Russia. However, Napoleon's Polish troops were among the most fanatically loyal to him and fought alongside French troops to the very end in 1815, so grateful were they that someone in Europe gave their country independence.

Napoleon never invaded Poland. In fact he allied with it and when Poland didn't have it's own land he gave some.

Everyone debating France, but like what about Italy? Poland and Italy both refer to each others in the respective national anthems they always had good relations, and I know it isn't ww2 because Italy joined after poland was annexed by germany
