Hong Kong’s District Council elections are scheduled for Sunday, November 24, 2019. District councillors handle community-level affairs in the city’s 18 districts and are democratically elected every four years.Measures will be taken to allow the voting to go ahead smoothly amid anti-government protests that have been ongoing since June. Some polling stations will be moved away from university campuses that have become magnets for protesters, and extra security will be deployed.

Basically saying Hong Kong is allowed to vote for any political candidate as long as they do not have independence in their manifesto. Since most of the individuals who advocate such ideology encourage violent riots, I can see why.

Tips on how to make your vote count. Have independent observers at polling stations.
Come on HK show that you say no to violence.

UK handed over the region to China which was/is undemocratic.
China has its own reason to conduct like this.
The matter is what was really the treaty between UK and China.
If China is breaching the treaty, why UK doesn't act against?
You planned to make conflicts between Chinese?

Let the people speak, see who they support, what they want.

If the rioters werent stopped the whole of hk will become like that campus- unliveable in.
Doesnt mean you dont need to have responsibility just bcos you have freedom. freedom is to be used responsibly.

Today’s headlines, the Hong Kong police hit the people of Hong Kong with real guns, and all over the world talked about it.

So HK people do get to elect there own candidates for HK elections? I thought the whole point argued in the news was as the protesters were saying that the communist party are the ones who elects there government not the HK people. Wow so the protesters rioted for no real reason once the main issue of that extradition law was abandoned. Unbelievable.

"Fully democratic" when Beijing decides who can be voted on? Right...

Only CCPs candidates approved are allowed to run... So would you vote for CCP candidate #1 or CCP candidate #2 free choice of which CCP candidate. It is a RIGGED election.

I wonder is that no another way only primitivisation during political proccess?
’Pro-democratic‘ and ’pro-establish‘? Like primates can choose only between two?
How such society can resolve really difficult and complex problems?
I am not surprised why HK is declining so drastically
