In this story of “The Storybaaz” I will tell you about the Real Story of Bhuj The Pride of India. During the Indo-Pak war of 1971, Vijay Karnik has served as a Squadron leader. At the time of the war of India and Pakistan on the night of 8 December, Pakistan sent eight squadrons dropped more than 14 Napalm bombs on the Bhuj Airbase which destroyed the Indian Air Force Airstrips. There was a lack of workers to restore the runway and the urgent need to restore the airbase, which needed to be operational due to the ongoing war. Vijay Kumar Karnik (squadron leader) decided to take the help of the locals and convince around 300 women from Madhapar to rebuild the airstrip.
