Public lobbies being styled like arcades with cabinets has actually been a very popular trend for fighting games. Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive, many anime fighters, etc., have had lobbies like this for a while.

The lobby system isn't some new feature dude. Fighting games have been doing it for a couple of years now.

It's pretty cool to see someone excited about those types of lobbies that have become quite common in modern fighting games. Although being able to watch the matches from the lobby is really cool and I've never seen it before.

This is pretty standard for modern fighting games, especially with Arcsystem games. Although I am disappointed that it’s not League themed, hopefully they allow theme changes for the lobby.

Theres a lot of fgc content creators that can tell you a lot about 2xko, sajam, maximiliandood. But it's really fun to watch necrit because you get the prespective of player outside of the fgc.

Was it really that unexpected? Tekken, SF6 and GGST all have similar lobbies with avatar customization, so building one for 2XKO is just building feature parity with the current market leaders. Is that surprising?

This is very common in most fighting games released this last decade, this is a slightly trimmed down copy of the Tekken 8 lobby for the most part.

more than any game, 2XKO looks like Blazblue Cross Tag Battle. its a 2 character fighter with simple controls, and casual lobbys in which you can walk with your avatars

Guys, maybe in fighting games the lobbies are nothing special but I think that his point mainly is, that this is new and unexpected feature for players coming from other Riot's games (mostly league).
