China's Wentian lab module launch review in 60 seconds

China on Sunday launched Wentian, the first lab module of its space station, atop the giant Long March-5B Y3 carrier rocket from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on the coast of the southern island province of Hainan, according to the China Manned Space Agency.

When both of the experimental modules of Wentian and Mengtian are docked to the Tianhe core module in October this year, with which the CSS will be fully assembled, the 1st Cycle of its utilization with regards to the international cooperation will see 9 projects from 17 countries carried out. Focus will be on space medicine, life sciences and micro gravity physics.

China is powering on to fill the vacuum that the US has abandoned. This is a marvellous sight to behold. The US decided to privatise space exploration, a completely foolish idea. Now humanity must look to China and Russia to continue the relentless research and progress that the world desires as it enters a new age of human endeavour. Let us not forget to thank the US for its efforts in the past, but also remember that when you pursue inimical objectives such as global hegemony, the same sad fate that has befallen the US will eventually befall you.
