Directory Traversal - Lab #6 Validation of file extension with null byte bypass | Short Version

In this video, we cover Lab #6 in the Directory Traversal Vulnerabilities module of the Web Security Academy. This lab contains a file path traversal vulnerability in the display of product images. The application validates that the supplied filename ends with the expected file extension. To solve the lab, retrieve the contents of the /etc/passwd file.

Hi Rana, thank you for your lessons. Im from a desktop support background, trying to make a career change. I watched your interview with david, im not very good with roles involving customer facing... a bit introvert, not a native engish speaker. Do you mean this will cause issues in the pentesting and cyber security roles. If there are roles in ethical hacking or pentesting please could you give me some suggestion.
