This fight had the same impact to me that the Thanos vs Hulk fight had. Just a short and brutal beatdown of a character we all thought never took any L's, while establishing the antagonist as a true menace and a different breed of savage than the past villains. A great way to introduce Atriox in the main series after Halo Wars 2.

Atriox has an extremely bad track record of damaging Spartans to the point where they can’t defend themselves anymore and then releases them lol, he’s gonna regret that.

Even Atriox fall for the classic villain mistake, monologuing and choose not to kill the hero right away.

The thing about atriox that's interesting is that he's as inteligent as he is strong, chief is able to take the first hit because he blocked it with his arm and his shoulder where the Armor is very durable but the second time as chief tries to block with his arm, atriox hits in the stomach where there's less Armor and immediately hurts chief .

This may sound weird, but I think it was good to show Chief get bodied like that. It shows that even he isn't unstoppable, and makes you want to stop Atriox that much more. Can't wait.

Chief ain't never been beat like that before. He just completely over powered him. Chief got punches in an everything. But dude is a beast.

suprised chiefs helmet didnt crack like when he fought Locke who is a much much weaker opponent than Atriox.

Exceptionally well choreographed and executed by 343 here. Lore accurate as well. I mean Atriox wiped the floor with Red Team so no surprise he was able to outfight Chief, but satisfying to see Chief jump right back up after the initial blow and straight clown Atriox with those gut punches! It shows the power behind the punch of a Spartan II but still not enough.

Chief landing those punches on Atriox was probably the first time Atriox has felt pain from a human. Also seeing infinity getting destroyed by smaller banished kinda reminds how Europeans defeated Chinese in naval Opium war

You have to take into account chief looks like he might be grieving worrying about his AI chip in a mid of a beat down. Never the less Atriox is a beast.

This scene was amazing and showed how fast Spartans really Unlike the fight between Chief and Locke from Halo 5 where they moved like hulking wrestlers play fighting.

I love how chief tries to fire the grapple to get himself back into the fight. He was prepared to go down swinging. Gives me some awesome "I can do this all day" vibes.

I love how this clip shows how much of a beast atriox, and by extension any brute, can be. chief weighs half a ton and atriox is just flinging him around like a rag doll
