Best Air Integrated Dive Computer 2024 #divetech #underwatergear #colorwatch

With a bright 2.2” LCD screen, 30-hour rechargeable battery, customizable dive data layout, wireless air integration, and Bluetooth syncing, this compact beast is built for recreational and tech divers alike.

I love how intuitive it feels, with features like a tilt-compensated compass, customizable gradient factors, and easy gas switching during dives. Plus, the wireless charging pad and included bungee & strap options are super convenient.

Shearwater has been killing it lately. This new Peregrine TX is one hell of a unit. It's probably the last dive computer a typical recreational diver will ever need.

If I didn't already have a Perdix 2, I would totally buy one.

That is a fantastic video!!! Love how you took me through it. I'm such a visual learner. It was if I could watch that and learn everything I need to know about it. Looking forward to getting mine. 50th birthday present

Lost my dive computer during holiday and the dive centre had the peregrine as a rental computer. Feel in love with it during two dives and am seriously debating buying the TX with transmitter now as replacement even though it is over my intended budget. Should tell one enough about how great this product is.

Fantastic! Doing my open water dives this upcoming weekend, I wanted AI for my dive computer but couldn't really justify splurging for the perdix 2.

I'm taking this as a sign..

I'm WAITING for this computer!
Other square shape computer are Tech computer, so they have over spec for recreational diver. My eyes become weak because of age, it means round shape computer, like Tern, is too small to see in 40cm range. Shearwater technicians agreed my opinion.... It's time to get AI computer! Also, I need a backup computer so I can solve this issue at once!

Looking into this one. I love my peregrine and it’ll be a great backup to his one. I was looking at the Tern too - will have to compare! Thanks for this.

What features matter most to you in a dive computer—air integration, battery life, custom displays, or price?

Really love and respect your content. One small suggestion though....the lighting in your video's when the camera is out front with you and the shop in the background, particularly this one, is kinda bad. Its washed out and somewhat blurry. The close-in shots are fine thought. Don't know if thats lighting, post production, whatever, but thought I would mention.

So Bummed. I really wanted the compass function but traded it away when I bought my regular Peregrine. I now have 8 dives on the unit, but would have waited for sure to get the new TX if I knew it was going to be released.

Wow! that is a really great deep dive into this Divecomputer. Thank you very much as alway Mark. Is there any chance that you will be doing a same style video for the Shearwater Tern TX?

I am still waiting for the Mares Quad CI. I know that Shearwater is of course a more prestigious brand of dive computer, but still at the price point of €750 dive computer with transmitter, colour screen, nitrox, trimix, Z16C, rechargeable battery, built-in Bluetooth it will be a great competitor.

The opening should be “You asked for it. Shearwater said they had no plans to do it, so you shelled out for a prefix. And now it turns out they were doing it…”

This looks like a great alternative to the perdix for those who don’t need all the tech specific options. would get one if i wasn’t saving for a dry suit.

Thank you for the great review! I am a fairly new recreational diver but have aspirations to do Tech diving eventually. I was considering the Luna 2.0 AI as seems to be reasonably priced for what it does, and I can see this one has many additional features… is it worth the difference in price? It seems very convenient to be able to customise the screen and the display looks neater than the Luna, but is it really going to make a huge difference in terms of functionality?

As a recreational diver is the entry price of $1K worth the upgrade over my Suunto Vyper. It only cost 100% more to go first class.

Looks like a nice computer! But unless I care about air integration or a compass, is there any reason to pay the additional money for a TX instead of a regular peregrine? Awesome video once again!

So what is a dive centre likely to say when you rock up with your Peregrine TX and Swift Transmitter? Will it be a certainly sir we can accommodate that or sorry but you can’t put that onto our equipment? You’ll need your own regulator for that… I’m looking to buy my first computer for recreational purposes and I’m wondering what dive centres opinions are likely to be. Perhaps current owners of the Perdix or Teric might have an insight?
