Canada vs USA Hockey Rivals Become Allies | BREAKING ICE

What if your biggest rival became your most important ally? The decades-long battle between Team Canada and Team USA for women’s hockey glory is, perhaps, the most prolific rivalry in the history of sport.

Today, they have set aside their bitter feud to come together and push the women’s game forward. Episode 3 of Breaking Ice features the best in the game. Canadians Marie-Philip Poulin, Natalie Spooner, Sarah Nurse, and Renata Fast plus Americans Hilary Knight, Brianna Decker, Kendall Coyne Schofield, and Amanda Kessel explore their intense dynamic. However, and most importantly, they clearly state their mission - fight for opportunity, for now and the future.

We're also excited to announce the IIHF Women's teams will be added to NHL 22 on January 27th along with the Women's World Championships!

The NHL needs to do a better job supporting women’s hockey on TV. I want to see women’s hockey get a platform on ESPN, Fox, or Hulu regularly. The WNBA has a platform in the states. I think women’s hockey would have a profitable organization if it’s based in Canada. I would happily watch women’s hockey here in Muskegon county/ the home of the Winter Sport Complex.
