Your plants look fine. Your Bird's Nest fern is growing well. Sometimes the tips of the leaves will dry out if it has a dry period. Also the symptoms of over and under watering are the same. Your tree is stunning. I love the introduction as well. This will be a treat each day. Thanks for taking the time to share. I find it like visiting with you.

Oh Sherry, I am overjoyed and just speechless over my Foxglove Wood and Quiet Moments Advent calendars. Everything is so spectacularly and lovingly wrapped and packaged. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s surprise in case they haven’t opened their first day yet, but I actually cried, because the item was something I had as a child and lost (got it at Green Gables in Prince Edward Island) and have wanted another one for decades. 🥰

That springeri fern loves lots of humidity and all the light you can give it. Let it get somewhat dry before watering again. But must it often. So happy you’re doing Vlogmas.

Hi Sherry, don’t water your plants whilst in the pots, take them out so they can drain, sometimes stand them in water and they can take as much as they need. Look at the position of your plants, maybe the air is too dry do you have central heating on. Enjoyed Day 1 😀x

Lovely vlog! Re plants, I always use the filtered water we use to water my orchids, if in doubt I’d repot.

Loving the Vlogmas! We are putting our tree up tomorrow. It’s currently drying out after being rescued from the rain outside! However, ours had a ton of mosquitos in. I’d much rather have ladybugs! Sending love to you all 😘

I am pleased you are doing vlogmas! The plants are in their rest period and do not need watering every week during the winter. They usually do shed some leaves during this time.

I agree with some of the other comments below - I always rest my houseplants from Nov-Feb - some I won’t water at all. Don’t know if that works for all types though 😱 I noticed a ladybird in the house the other day which I now think must have come in with our tree - going to check for more! 🐞😘

All of what Dawn suggests plus dramatically reduce the amount of water you give indoor plants from Nov to Feb in U.K. . Most succulents ( not what you showed in your vid but in case it’s relevant ) would rather go almost dry in those months as it’s a period of dormancy for the plants . Indoor plants will tell you when they need watering tbh, when you poke your finger in the the compost by about an inch if you feel it’s damp, the plant is quite happy generally and does not need more water at that time . I water my house plants once a week with water at room temp, stand them in a basin or on the draining board . Always water from underneath -Leave for half an hour and the plant has then absorbed all it needs at that time, shake off excess water and place back in pot. It might be worth feeding the poorly plants with Baby bio or the like every couple of weeks or so and watch for improvement . Perhaps the air/temp has been too dry or they have been scorched a little - sadly by watering from above it is do easy to overdo it (simply because you don’t see the bottom of the pit)worth moving to another room or position . Some times the answer can only be found by a process of elimination ....temps/position/direct or indirect light /draught etc . They will all recover as the damage is not that much, you did the right thing in removing the affected leaves . Sorry for long ramble !

Ladybirds! Oh how cute! I wonder what is going on with the plants? Do you use filter water or water that has sat and the chlorine has evaporated?

I would say that maybe you should use ceramic pots, not plastic. I couldn’t see wast they plastic really. 😊

I think that maybe you’re watering too often. Try feeling the soil, if it feels dry then water & I don’t think they need too much in the winter. Maybe the reason you feel out of breath I can hear that you’re holding you breath & not relaxing. Try having a gin & whatever before you vlog!!🤣🍾 Looking forward you the
