Janome are amazing machines. I have Brother and Babylock and I love them, but I went with my friend to help her find a a Janome, she ended up getting the 9450 and omgosh that machine is well made and designed. I wish that I had purchased that machine too, She got a great deal and I have sewing machine envy. Not that mine are bad, but the lighting, the accu-feed foot and 9mm ability would all be nice to have.

I have had my 9450 for 3 years. I still GUSH about it to anyone will listen. I've been quilting/sewing/crafting for 30 years. This machine is the BEST!! No issues at all!

I have a Janome MC 6600, which has many of the same features as the one you are showing here. Please let me add that the hands-free sewing feature is also great for disabled people who may be sitting in a wheelchair. The sales woman in the sewing machine shop told me this because I was wondering about this feature. I thought it might be useful to know for some of your viewers.

My 25 yr old Kenmore finally kicked the bucket last weekend. I’m so thankful for this video which I’ve watched about 5 times before she permanently retired. I went to my local sewing machine store and bought this beauty. They were impressed at how much I knew about it and I told them about your video 😊 I love her so much! It really is a perfect bridge from an oldie like I had to the newer computerized models. I feel like it’s Christmas! Thank you ❤ PS I took your advice and have been using only the buttons to sew. The foot control is still in the bag and will probably stay there. It really is a lot easier!

I watched every review from Pfaff computerized machines for weeks and I could not decide. So I asked a lady in a shop if the Ambition 620 or 630 was ticking all my boxes . I did not want a Chinese machine, it should last a very long time, it must be strong and have double transport en told her where I will use it for. (My most used machine was a Pfaff 1214 I modified with electronic control and max speed potentiometer).
She said, Modern Pfaff's are not going to make me happy and is not the same level as my old one. (They sold all big brands) She then pointed me to the Janome Skyline S6. Never heard of Janome but after 2 reviews it was clear I wanted one. I got it today and I'm impressed, what a machine!!! It is build like tank. Only one thing I think would be more logical is that the start stop switch would work parallel to the pedal instead of unplugging it. But I'm an Electronics engineer so I will probably modify that myself.

I own the 9450. The button she showed and said it lowered the feed dogs does not lower the feed dogs. Depressing it pops off the sewing plate as you saw. I lower the feed dogs by flipping a switch that is on the right side of my machine near the power cord. It’s a toggle type switch. Yes my machine is wonderful. Lots of demo videos on youtube too.❤

I have a 40 yr. old Bernina. I love it . The walking foot is great for quilting. If I were in the market for a new machine today, I would be getting this machine. Fabulous demo. thanks

I ordered the 9450 the day after this video came out. What a beautiful machine and a work horse! I was a little intimidated at first but now I’m getting in the groove. It’s an amazing, versatile machine and the foot lift saves soooo much time. I bought a Baby Lock Brilliant in November but saw this video and fell in love all over again. Thanks for allowing me to change machines and so quickly. What a great group you all are. I live in NJ but wish I live closer to your store. Glad I have the membership from buying a machine. Thank you and have a wonderful new year!

Very well presented. Modern machines are ok. They are fragile compared to very old machines, but just look after modern machines and they are great.

I love love my Janome 9400QCP and the very best thing is the stop start button. A complete game changer. I have had a sewing machine since I was 9. My first computer lesson I was reaching under the table trying to find the foot pedal.! Luckily Mary was a crafter so I wasn’t admitted to the funnyfarm. By accident I came across some videos from Janome Canada and a lovely young lady with multicoloured hair who explained it. I thank her every time. IAM past upholstery now or I would be craving that machine you explained so beautifully. Thank you❤❤👏👏

Hello. I bought the S6 about 4 years ago, it is the Atelier 6 in Britain. I bought it to replace my 30 year old Pfaff 1743 (I paid £800.00 for in 1990, my bank manager thought I was buying a car 😮) which decided to die on me. I have found the Janome really good to use and mine does go through multiple layers of foam and fabric when making bags. I also bought the Pfaff 150 year anniversary addition 635 ambition as I have always loved Pfaff machines and I really needed 2 machines 😊. Both machines are excellent and around the same price here in England. A bit pricey but well worth saving up for. Happy sewing.

I wish you were in the UK. I have the S6 and would have loved to do the courses you offer with the machines. I struggle with mine whilst learning to quilt. But, after having an awful weekend with mine, you’ve given me back the love to try again 😍
