As avgeeks do, our focus is both on classic aircraft and the latest fancy airplane types. TUI operates one of the largest leisure aircraft fleets in the world utilizing various airlines (AOCs) across many countries. TUIfly Germany can be seen as one of the main pillars of this operation with a history going back to Hapag-Lloyd Flug, as the airline was originally known back from the 1980s.
In this film Patrick looks behind the scenes of a special livery: One of TUI's Boeing 737-800s is painted in a beautiful blue "Robinson Club" scheme. What is this all about? Just an advertisement or is there a deeper connection between this special aircraft and the airline's operation? For all filming conducted in security restricted and/ or safety relevant areas, all required approvals are obtained well before our on-site work starts. Calls to and readbacks from ATC are re-enacted based on memory and outside of the actual communication.

Such a delightful film! Beautiful crew. The Boeing 737 is my all time favourite airplane, particularly the NG because of those characterful engines. Whether on startup or running at takeoff thrust, those engines really sound good. It's also a really gorgeous plane to look at, from every angle if you ask me.🍻
