Instead, it has become the focal point of my husband’s cruel obsession. He’s always been meticulous about appearances, but I never imagined his vanity would turn against me in such a dire manner during my pregnancy. Everyday, he forced me into these intense exercise sessions, designed more to appease his warped sense of body aesthetics than any concern for my health. My pleas about the potential harm to the baby or the doctor’s advice fall on deaf ears. For the sake of our child and my own well-being, I must summon the courage to confront this situation. I won’t be a silent victim. My child deserves a world filled with love and understanding, not hatred and prejudice.
