The Rescuers Down Under was one of the movies that I saw CONSTANTLY. My family had a very long period of time when we didn't have cable, so me and my brother would always watch the same movies over and over again. The Rescuers Down Under is one of them. Honestly I had no clue it was actually a sequel, and was surprised that there was a first one in the first place (and Down Under is TOTALLY better than the first one imo)

I use to watch this movie all the time as a kid. It is truly a classic and this was the video that made me remember this movie and my childhood.

I grew up with this and still am disappointed at how underrated it is. This is one of the most exciting Disney movies period!
If Disney rereleases it in 3D, go see it or take a friend there! This movie really deserves more credit than it was given!

I actually bought both the rescuers videos together as a kid and while I thought the first one was just ok the second one blew me away from start to finish this is one of the most underrated animated movies of all time from what I heard it didn't do very well in it's opening week so disney pulled all the promotional material for it so no one saw it because no one knew about it I'm glad to hear it's doing better now in dvds this was a true moment from my childhood

I have this on VHS somewhere still and loved the HELL out of it when I was younger. Personally, it being around the #3-4 spot is about right as that leaves space for stronger movies to come above it but it still keeps a solid spot.

This movie is amazing! I watched it all the time as a kid, always looked for it in Blockbuster. I love the characters, the animation, the backgrounds, everything is beautiful

I appreciate the first film, but watching the sequel makes me imagine that the first one never happened. It's good on its own, and anyone who hasn't seen the first one won't be confused when watching the sequel. This really is an underrated classic, and I hope it gains more attention. The animation, characters, and action all make the movie truly wonderful to watch.

Looks like Disney finally got over the failure of The Rescuers Down Under, because they're releasing Frozen 2 in 2018, and making it THEMSELVES and releasing it in theaters.

Quite sad to say I think this is one of the two or three animated classics that I haven't had the chance to watch yet, I think I might have seen snippets when I was younger but I've never had the joy of the whole thing. Sounds like a great one to see though. :)

Maybe The Rescuers was so small-scale to match the heroes being so small and not having much going for them, and since they proved they could take on a smaller setting in the first one, the second one expands on it since the audience and the characters know what they can do

Of course The Rescuers Down Under didn't get as popular as The Iron Giant that fast. After, Cartoon Network had a special day every year where they would play The Iron Giant in an infinite loop for the entire day.
I doubt Disney Channel or Disney XD would have a special day every year where they would play The Rescuers Down Under on a loop for the entire day.
