Fanuc showcased this demo at iREX 2017. Below is the official introduction of the demo.
The collaborative robot, which does not require safety fences, transports the ball screw (= heavy work) and holds it at the press-fitting machine (= dangerous work) in place of an operator.
The operator can press the bearings onto the ball screw in collaboration with the robot.
Even when the robot is in operation, the operator can prepare the next set inside the robot operating area.
