I just whipped up a bunch of cool sci fi tech designs in JSPlacement, turned them into SVG's and now I can make procedural buildings and computer chip looking pieces, this is wild!

I love this method...really opens up design possibilities. One thing I could use is some tips on cleaning up the topology (which is a mess) so these meshes can be cleanly beveled, etc.

when u conver it to mesh, i dont get the mesh option, but others like bezier curve, parth and polygon, :c

That is very helpful, thanks a lot Brandon. Though, I have a question. How to get rid of the too many faces that got generated after converting the curve into a mesh?
The problem I am facing is trying to apply an image texture but I have got like a million face inside that object!

Thanks for the tutorial!
Tip: Make sure your PNG file isn't completely white and has transparent background when converting, otherwise you'll get a blank output which gives you no object when imported to Blender.

usualy im complaining about vidoes taking ages to come to a point ... not with this one this was so quick and on to the point no wasted time love it .. was even a bit too quick which i LOVE .. combining strg J did not work so me beeing familia with lightwave never using blender i was searching only to find out that after like 10 minutes .. somehow a crumb of cake got into the keyboad and my J key was blocked :D .. such a nice video thanks

How can i cut the pieces for example i have a jigsaw puzzle svg and i made it mesh as u showed me but i want to cute the jigsaw piece seperated how do i do that ?

I think I have a problem because my svg has no background. This might be why making it into a mesh seems to not do anything? Any tips or another video to make my svg have substance instead of seemingly the cut lines only?
