Lenco L75

Sound sample of my redesigned DIY Lenco L75 " Golden White".
You may hate or like the design...
I was inspired by the golden 80`s years with their special affinity to the big bling-bling.
Anyway technically it is based on the Lenco L75 motor & idler wheel drive, in a massive 12" two tonearm birch plywood plinth, finished in piano glossy white. The stable base were the PTP6 plates by Peter Reinders, Amsterdam. I serviced the few original parts, added some glam by gold plating the PTP plates, visible srews and the platter. The tonearm is a Schick 12" with Ortofon SPU G classic. The result is amazing!
The simple vintage audio chain:
- Lenco "Golden White" / Ortofon SPU
- Tube Guru MC Pre-Amp
- Klein & Hummel V112 EL84 Mono valve amplifier
- DIY speaker cables
- DIY Altec 612u cabinets with Altec Lansing 604E-16

Very beautiful !!!! And very good Shick 12" !! I have the same arm with the graphite headshell and Lyra Delos …. I love this arm !!!! Sorry for my english 😜

Dear Joerg, fab work on the Lenco… is this something you plan to do professionally? May I ask the reason for preferring Lencos over Thorens 124 or Garrard 301/401? I am asking so I can learn (i own Voyd and Pink Triangle but I know nothing about these vintage decks that many seem to prefer, hence the naive questions!) Thank you

Great looking and sounding. We'll done. Any tips on achieving the piano gloss finish on the plinth? Thinking of painting mine white as well.
