I don’t curl my hair cause I think I look weird 😅 but I think I might wanna try your way cause I’ve only heard of curling with the iron thingy and I can’t cut the silly hole through the bottle

You really should have used an exacto-knife or box cutter on those bottles but it was still fun to watch.

I have two suggestions that MIGHT make this work.
1. Weigh the end of your hair down with something tied to the very end so it doesn't get blown out by the vortex.
2. Perhaps cutting the input higher up on the bottle, cutting a vent in the bottom of the bottle, and angling the hair dryer downwards would cause the vortex to pull your hair down into the bottle, rather than pushing it up through the top.

Either way, I actually think a vent on the bottom of the bottom would be a huge help.
As it is right now, you're pumping huge amounts of air into the bottle and since the bottle can't inflate like a balloon that air has to go somewhere. The only option is back out of the top.
If you block the top, the bottle's air capacity maxes out, so air stops going in (or it starts going into and out of the same hole at the same rate) and the vortex stops.
So you need an alternate outlet for the airflow, where it CAN'T push your hair out of the bottle, and it DOESN'T stop the airflow/cancel out the vortex - the bottom.

I'm actually pretty confident that that SHOULD work.
(I spend a weird amount of time thinking about aerodynamics/fluid dynamics.)

i realized that i hadn’t gotten any notifications from youtube at all today so i decided to check & i saw in my subscription box “uploaded 20 seconds ago”! 😂 these videos are what i look forward to during the week besides a couple of my favorite classes! & i did attempt this hack not too long ago, but unfortunately it did not work so well :( i do want to try it again with a different bottle sometime soon though!
