Brother HL L2340DW Replace Toner Error Quick Menu Bypass Fix

This is a quick fix to bypass the "Replace Toner" message on your printer. It will allow your printer to continue printing even though you have a low-toner message. It should allow you enough time to get some toner.

Cheers. I bought my printer 6 years ago and it gets light usage. The toner cartridge is still going strong, but the message had just popped up about replacing it. I bought an inexpensive replacement, but then found this video.. So I expect to get a few more months out of the original cartridge now thanks to this. 👍👍👍

Thanks a lot, Brent. This also worked on my Brother DCP-7055DN, with a slightly different series: "Menu" to "General Setup", "OK", up or down to "Replace Toner", OK, cursor till see "Stop". Cursor to "Continue", OK. Then printer should show "Accepted". Just did it, don't know yet if it worked- but expect it will.

Thank You. HL-L2350DW -- This printer is new to me. Unlike past experience with Brother, I have found the support website, and documentation, on line a downloadable, atrocious. I have had several Brother printers, but will consider other vendors for my next purchase.

The following series just worked on my Brother HL-L2395DW: Press tool icon (wrench plus screwdriver), then with up/down arrows go to "All Settings", to "General Settings, to "Replace toner", change to "Stop", press House button on printer. On Mac, I then had to rechoose my printer under System Preferences, and then press "Resume" when I checked its printing status. Then waiting pages printed! So now can print while waiting for the replacement toner I ordered.

Very helpful. In my case the error was suspiciously erroneous because there was plenty of toner. Just a case of infrequent use. Printer companies make the most from toner sales.
